The first WFTDA Division 2 tournament took place last weekend in Wichita, Kansas, and resulted in Brandywine taking first place over Blue Ridge. Both those teams will be heading to Portland, Oregon, in November to take on the top two finishers of this tournament for their ultimate Division 2 placements. LANSING, MI – To get to the 7th Place game, #2 seed Sac City took two upset losses to #7 Charlottesville and #9 Tri-City, while #4 Cincinnati had a tougher path through one win and two losses. Both teams had spent the weekend playing physical, penalty-heavy games, which kept them from playing cohesively. A momentum upswing for Sac City in the second half put them ahead and took them to victory over Cincinnati, 220-174.
