The day of rematches started with the  #45 Oklahoma Victory Dolls and #57 E-Ville Roller Derby, reliving not a game from this tournament, but their Championship matchup from Loveland, Colorado’s Mayday Mayhem Tournament in June. In that matchup, OKVD came out 45 points on top of E-Ville despite E-Ville’s impressive run of wins that weekend.

A very close game between #48-ranked Ohio Roller Derby and #45 Oklahoma Victory Dolls had five lead changes. Power jams were part of those power swings, and each team had main scorers who helped push the score. Ohio got within two points as the game came to a close, but a string of lead jams for Oklahoma helped them secure the win, 182-164.

In the 11th game of this weekend’s D2 tournament, #1 seed Auld Reekie Roller Girls took on the #5 seed Oklahoma Victory Dolls. Auld Reekie lost their first game of the day to #16 seed Dublin Roller Derby 200-183, and Oklahoma was also coming off of a 235-174 loss to Naptown Roller Derby earlier in the day. While both teams came out of the gate looking evenly matched and equally focused on securing the win, Oklahoma’s jamming skills ultimately led them to a 257-131 victory over Auld Reekie.

The #45-ranked Oklahoma Victory Dolls came out the gate strong this game, picking up the first points and mounting a lead over #53 Naptown Roller Derby in the first ten minutes. A combination of speeding packs and slow, determined defense kept this game interesting and Naptown showed they could keep up the endurance game that Oklahoma Victory set out to play.

Despite Oklahoma Victory having a slight edge on lead jammer status percentage and earning nearly half the total penalties of their opponent, Naptown was able to match points and put up enough big scoring jams to overcome. Naptown finished out the game on top, 235-174.
