It’s the off season. Now what?
You might be thinking, “Exactly, Maxwell…. It’s the off-season. Which is when I don’t think about training and roller derby for a minute.”
To which I will say: the off-season is the most important time of the year to be thinking about our training. With little time to reset and that constant feeling of “I can’t miss a beat” during the competitive season, the off-season gives us a chance to pause, rest, reset, and start building our strong foundation for the upcoming season.
Fail to set yourself up properly for the upcoming season, and it’s likely that you won’t see the results that you’re hoping for in the coming year. Champions are made during the off-season.
So… let’s start with training.
